The official BDC results have been posted.Dusty is the winner of BDC’s first annual ” Road Warrior” trophy. After spirited competition through out the Spring and Summer with Bill Berner’s dog Willy ( 2009 Top Gun Pointer High Point Dog) Dusty pulled ahead in the fall to post the win. Berner’s other dog Jake and Windy Creek’s Annie also placed high in the standings. The “Road Warrior”award is given to the dog that beats the most other entries during the year. And you can’t beat em if you’re not at the event so ” on the road again”! Several great handlers helped Dusty get this award..many from the Wisconsin Series last Winter and Spring but special thanks should be given to the ones that ran him last Summer and Fall: Brian Bachman ,Mike Wallace, Jake Smazinski, Jerry Brost, Steiny, and Tom Glynn.

DC Country Roads' Rough Rider
Ralphie’s sire just won the Britt National Championships. Lets hope our little guy gets some of his dad’s horsepower!
If competitors didn’t win in the field on Saturday or Sunday it didn’t matter because host Bill Berner and Santa ( Ed Holland) made sure they had a great time at the Christmas party. Santa gave away hats, shirts, and even a special letter jacket to one lucky handler. Everyone enjoyed the turkey dinner served by Ed Holland, Paula Voorhees, and Mike Wallace ( wine courtesy of Bob George).

Annie takes 1st and 2nd!
Following her victory at PHU’s Pheasant Bonanza event in mid October Annie flew around the course in Hamilton, Illinois at Smoking Gun to place 1st and 2nd. Annie’s 3 great places in two PHU events puts her in a strong position to make a run for Dog of the Year. Dusty also had a good tournament with a 4th place finish in singles and a 3rd place finish in doubles.
