Both Windy Creek Britts came into the Nationals near the top in BDC’s Race for “Dog of the Year”. When the smoke cleared, however, they both “just missed” getting into the finals and were not able to compete for the coveted award.

The high point of the weekend for Windy Creek was the banquet where Dusty was honored for being Region 3’s “High Point” dog in both Doubles and Singles Pointing and where he was also honored for his year long effort in winning ” The Road Warrior” award.

Dan Sojka presided over an excellent banquet. His “Hall of Fame” presentations were heartfelt and enjoyed by everyone! Congratulations to these great dogs and their owners. nationals-results

The official BDC results have been posted.Dusty is the winner of BDC’s first annual ” Road Warrior” trophy. After spirited competition through out the Spring and Summer with Bill Berner’s dog Willy ( 2009 Top Gun Pointer High Point Dog) Dusty  pulled ahead in the fall to post the win. Berner’s other dog Jake and Windy Creek’s Annie also placed high in the standings. The “Road Warrior”award is given to the dog that beats the most other entries during the year. And you can’t beat em if you’re not at the event so ” on the road again”! Several great handlers helped Dusty get this award..many from the Wisconsin Series last Winter and Spring but special thanks should be given to the ones that ran him last Summer and Fall: Brian Bachman ,Mike Wallace, Jake Smazinski,  Jerry Brost, Steiny, and Tom Glynn.
